Description:

Blue Chip’s plain multipurpose bentonite grease is a smooth textured, clay based grease suitable for use in applications where operating temperatures are above the limits of conventional soap based greases.  Clay-based greases are thickened by a fine suspension of bentonite clay, which offers resistance to extremely high temperatures coupled with good water resistance.

Applications:

This grease is suitable for very high temperatures such as may be experienced in the front wheel bearings of cars fitted with disc brakes.  The frequency of applications is an important consideration under severe operating conditions.

Warning: Bentonite based greases must not be mixed with any other greases.

Description:

A soft yet tacky, water resistant open gear grease with excellent adhesive properties.  It has a clay base and does not contain solvents or bitumen and will not harden or build up on gear teeth.  Ideally applied by automatic lubricating system and will not separate or clog the feeder lines.

Applications:

Open gear applications on ball or rod mills and kilns operating at high temperatures.  Central lubricating systems for open cast mining shovels and draglines, ring gears, dipper sticks, circle rollers and open gear sets.

Description:

Blue Chip Fifth Wheel Grease is an extreme pressure (EP) bentonite grease fortified with functional additives and lubrication grade graphite. It provides exceptional wear protection, has excellent adhesive characteristics and resists water washout. Particularly suitable for arduous operating conditions such as extreme shock loading, vibration, high temperatures and contamination by water and dirt.

Applications:

Blue Chip Fifth Wheel Grease is designed for a wide variety of applications such as turntables, slides and ways, journal bearings, open gears, racks, chains and sprockets, wire ropes, rollers and tracks. It is particularly suitable for truck-tractor fifth wheel hitches. Recommended for a broad range of automotive and industrial applications subject to sliding forces, shock loading, high pressures, elevated temperatures and contamination by water and dirt. Fifth Wheel Grease is not recommended for rolling element bearings.

Lithium

The complex technology allows for higher operating temperatures than normal general purpose greases.

Applications:

Automotive chassis lubrication. Pin and bush applications. Description:

Multipurpose lithium based grease containing EP additives, rust and oxidation inhibitors plus molybdenum disulphide.  The 2LEP M and 3LEP M grades contain 1% moly which acts as a solid lubricating film even when the grease has been forced out. The 2LEP M3 grade is fortified with 3% molybdenum disulphide for additional protection under the most severe operating conditions.

Applications:

Recommended for automotive, construction, earthmoving, quarrying and mining equipment. Chassis grease point lubrication. Suitable for pins and bushes, rolling element bearings, ball joints and universal joints. The 2LEP M3 grade is recommended for CV-joints and the most severe shock load conditions.

Heavy duty, lithium complex based grease fortified with molybdenum disulphide, EP additives, and rust and oxidation inhibitors. Its high viscosity base oil component, water resistance and tackiness maintain a lubricating film under severe conditions, shock loading and wet or dirty operating conditions. The molybdenum disulphide provides a solid lubricating film even when the grease is displaced.

Description:

MPWG is a lithium based grease which incorporates additives to provide adhesion, lubricity and film strength characteristics.  It has been specifically designed as a lubricant to meet those severe applications where heat, leakage and excessive milling are problem factors.  In addition it contains rust and oxidation inhibitors, has excellent load carrying abilities and has an operating temperature of -10 °C to 120 °C.

Applications:

MPWG was developed primarily for the main and planetary gears in scraper winches.  However it can also be used for: open gears and chains which are exposed to extreme climatic conditions, track rollers on slow moving equipment, slides and pivots, flexible couplings, anti-friction and plain bearings operating in industry mines automotive equipment, sheaves on hoists, cranes, etc.
