Established in 1983, Blue Chip Lubricants (Pty) Ltd manufactures, markets and distributes a wide variety of high quality lubricants for the mining, automotive, engineering and industrial markets. Our range of products include specialized and general purpose greases, automotive and industrial oils, cleaning and cutting fluids and a number of complimentary products such as grease pumps, rags and hand cleaners.

We serve a wide variety of mining customers including Gold Fields, Simmer & Jack, Iscor and Northam Platinum as well as a large number of transport and construction companies such as Renico and the Laser Transport Group. In addition we have achieved accreditation from Volvo for our range of MAX C motor                                                oils.

We only blend with 100% Virgin base oil in all our products and our additives packages are sourced from one of the leading additive suppliers in Europe

With the extensive research and development from these Additive suppliers, our products are continually updated to meet the latest API (American Petroleum Institute) and ISO (International Standards Organisation) standards and we are always informed on new developments in the lubrication industry which we in turn pass onto our customers.

Our Specialised Products are designed to reduce losses in areas where environmental conditions such as excessive water, dust, heat and severe operating conditions coupled with a difficulty in re-lubrication exists.

The business offers a personalised service with outstanding quality products. We are widely known for our excellent service which can extend to week-ends / public holidays or whenever emergency stock is needed.

We are one of the founding members of the ILBA (Independent Lubricant Blenders Association) association, which ensures that all its members pledge to adhere to a standard of excellence in blending, producing, packaging, promoting and marketing of all its products. In this way, the end user can feel confident in all our member's products.

We are also a member of The ROSE Foundation (Recycling Oil Saves the Environment) which is a Non-Profit organisation committed to the managing of the collection, storage and recycling of used lubricant oil in South Africa.
